There is a period in a school life, when one has to learn the multiplication table. My son was not an exception and did not avoid the fate.
We began to study the table the same old way: turned a notebook and started to learn.
Obviously this is a boring way, which went out of date. First of all it requires parents’ patience: it is difficult to test the own child for knowledge of the table several times a day. Sometimes there is simply no time for this.
It was easy for me to find the decision of the problem- to write a trainer, which will make the learning of the table more interesting for a child. The set of options will be the cannon balls. The number of correct answers will be a shot at a pirate. If you think for a long time, then the pirate shoots at you. Apparently the phrase like ”Dad, today I shot a pirate at a complicates level" is better than dull phrase “Today I learned the multiplication table till 5”.
Advantages:
-Two kinds of arithmetic operations: multiplication and division
-A built-in multiplication table for learning
-3 levels of the level of complexity(the speed of shooting at pirate is raising or lowering)
-Two types for answer entering: by figures and by multiple choice
-The history of already played games can be saved in order to trace the progress
-The possibility to choose the range of the derived equations

What We Liked: I love that 2×2=4 includes so many options for customizing each game to help drill your child at an appropriate level. The speed-based difficulty levels, increasing numbers of time tables, choice of keypad entry or multiple choice, and freely available hints all support the logical learning of the tables starting from the 2xs table right up to the 12xs table. The pirate-theme and cute themed graphics paired with the face-off time competition style game will also inspire potential pirate-blasters to master their tables and increase their speed in order to take out the pirate ship before their own boat is sunk by enemy cannon fire! What We Didn’t Like: Even after your boat is sunk there is no game-over, your child will need to complete the remaining problems to reach the end of the game. It would be nice to have multiple users abailable. I’d also prefer to see the full correct answer displayed on screen once it is entered rather than moving onto the next question as soon as the last digit is entered (and not displayed). Overall: 2×2=4 is a fun, game-based way to promote the memorization of the times tables through a pirate-themed, time-based, ship-to-ship shoot out. If your child thrives on adventure, countdown competitions, and adrenaline, this app provides a neat, flexible way to improve multiplication and division speed and mastery. I received a promo code.
Not sure why this app stops at 10. Would love it if it could go to at LEAST 12 x 12!
